Let’s get ready for the new season!

We hope everybody had an extraordinary summer!

The time has come to get ready for the next session. We have some good news to share with you. Exciting events are being organised over the next few months.

Next week we’re going to begin with the Annual General Meeting. In October, we are organising the Lagan Autumn Head, more information can be found at the end of this newsletter. And thanks to our new social committee, the Annual BRC Gala Night is back in November.

We suggest to prepare your rowing and dancing shoes for this new season 💃🏼🕺🏼

Hello!

Time flies, only 10 days until the Autumn HOR and the BRC Annual Dinner 2022 is in less than 3 weeks! 💃🏼🕺🏼

Today we are excited to share a physiotherapy article especially for rowers, a rowing theme quiz. And, can you guess who is in our Meet our People section? We’ll give you a hint: there’s a boat named after him.

We hope you enjoy this issue as much as we enjoyed putting this together for you.

ISSUE 04. 22/11/22

Hello!

What a month! So much has happened. As expected, the BRC Annual Dinner was a success! We include in this issue a message from the Social Committee.

Unfortunately the Lagan Autumn HOR was cancelled due to bad weather but thanks again to Garth Newberry, David Webb and everyone else involved in organising the event

Our Meet our People section includes someone who joined BRC as a junior (now part of the Club Squad), Committee Member and keen to develop the Junior Women’s Squad. Do you know who she is?

In our Physio Room section we included an in-demand article about Hip Mobility. You’ll also find some Christmas presents suggestions, a rowing quiz, and more.

ISSUE 05. 23/12/22

Hello!

What a month, what a year! We have just arrived at our last newsletter of the year.

December has been a busy and exciting month. The recent Festive Mini-HOR was a great success thanks to the hard work of all club members, but particularly Garth Newberry and David Webb for their efforts towards organising the race.

In this issue our Meet our People section include one of our newsletter team, who is always there to help, and also is a fantastic coach. Easy to guess, right?

In our Physio Room section we included an in-demand article about Oarman’s Wrist. You’ll also find a new section: Rowing Safely, a Christmas Mulled Cider recipe, and more.

ISSUE 06. 28/01/23

Sadly, this month we will begin with a tribute to Dr. Ronald Armstrong, a long-time member of BRC.

Afterwards you can find our rowing activities. This issue includes a good article for all who are interested in preventing back pain; a tasty recipe; details about a new bridge, and more information about dates you must include in your calendar ✍🏻
