Belfast Rowing Club invites you to join our monthly Boathouse Lotto!
BRC has been running since 1842 on a not-for-profit basis, supported by its members to get as many people on the River Lagan as possible for fun, health, and to enjoy competitive racing. Our current boathouse is now over fifty years old, and we are conducting extensive renovation to make it fit for purpose for the next fifty or more!
The Boathouse Lotto is a key part of our fundraising strategy and has already helped to fund some major building works. This includes replacing the roof and repairing the upstairs toilets. Future projects are already being planned!
Here’s how it works…
Anyone can take part, and we particularly welcome the support of non-members! Everyone pays in £5 per ticket per month and is assigned a virtual lotto number. You can buy multiples; the more you have, the more chances you have of winning. Committee members will carry out the draw using an anonymous digital tool so it’s completely fair and the winner will be revealed to all on the last Friday of each month.
Prizes
Up to £1600 of the annual total is redistributed in prize money (Prize value is based on the number of participants and lotto numbers purchased). In addition to the £50 monthly prize, there will be special end of year draws should enough tickets be sold:
- £300 if 100 tickets are sold
- £500 if 150 tickets are sold
- £1000 if 200 tickets are sold
The target is to have 200 Lotto participants, which will generate almost £10,000 per year towards Boathouse Development Fund.
